Okra is a southern staple in the summer.  Loaded with antioxidants and vitamins A and C it is most popularly served in stews or gumbos.  However, the McLeod family's favorite way to enjoy it is coated in Jiffy Corn Mix and fried in a little oil.  It's a little prickly and sticky, but very delicious.  You can even pick up a jar of hot pickled okra at our Roadside Market.
